What’s left of nothing

The abundant sky and the surreal land,
Defied separation with showers,
When our paths crossed again,
Midst the glittering leftovers.

As I fell again for you with every drop,
And again I hoped it would never stop,
In the harsh fall we saw each other clear,
Although between us were a billion tears.

  1. I like this…except that the word “leftovers” really didn’t fit. I was reading it, enjoying it, and getting into the spirit of it…and then that word just sort of bumped me back into reality–an unpleasant reality.😊 But it’s really is a great poem.
